M.G. Dillingham LLC Joins the Weaverville Business Association

You may have noticed some of the Construction Signage on the windows of Well-Bred over the past two months, and we’re excited to see what WBA Member, M.G. Dillingham, LLC has in store for the beloved Downtown store. We’re also excited to welcome McKenzie and her team into the WBA. Here’s a little more info about McKenzie and her work.

Weaverville Business Association: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your business.
McKenzie Dillingham:  I have spent over a decade in the luxury custom home industry in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. I am a native of Weaverville, NC and have a degree in Construction Management from Western Carolina University. After graduating college, I moved back to Asheville, beginning my career as a Project Manager for one of the area’s best luxury home builders. My time as a Project Manager helped me hone my eye for detail and grow my passion for the artistic process of residential construction. Today, as the owner of M.G. Dillingham, LLC, I manage all aspects of the full service, General Contracting firm. The company specializes in custom Residential Contracting, both with renovations and new construction and also has experience in commercial interior upfits.

When not at work, I spend my time at home in Weaverville with my wife (a veterinarian) and new baby, Rhodes. I built our Weaverville home in 2014 and enjoy spending time on home projects and gardening. When warm weather permits, you will find me on the French Broad river in a kayak. As an Appalachian native, I love all four seasons and spending time outdoors.

WBA: What motivated you to open your business in Weaverville?

MD:  I am a Weaverville native and want to spend my time working for and with the people that call this area home.

MD: A few larger scale new construction projects on are the horizon for 2023 and you will find us completing an upfit on Weaverville’s favorite bakery, Well-Bred at the first of the year.

WBA: What’s your favorite thing about doing business in Weaverville?
MD: Growing the local economy by welcoming new neighbors to their homes and using local subcontractors and suppliers to complete each project.
