Candlelight Stroll

Friday, December 9, 2022 6-9pm

The Candlelight Stroll is a cherished, annual community event bringing folks to Main Street (and the Community Center!) to do some holiday shopping, spread good cheer, and celebrate the season together.

Join us as the Town comes alive with music and entertainment for a Candlelight Stroll.

Festivities include live music, luminaries, crafts and a scavenger hunt, food, drink, storytelling, and horse drawn carriage rides. Check out growing list of activities below.

Tree Lighting: 6:00 pm, The Weaverville Tree on Main Street

Storytelling, Music, Gifts, Kids Crafts, and a Shuttle Service to Town: The Community Center and The Dry Ridge Museum are offering a full night of festivities, AND a ride from Lake Louise to Main Street. Departing regularly from the side of Art Accents. Hop on the bus! There is a ton of parking at the Community Center ;).

Scavenger Hunt – Sponsored by Trout Insurance: Holiday characters are hidden throughout Town! Pick up a flier at the Information Booth and participating businesses, and then collect a glow stick bracelet for each character spotted.

Santa: Located at Keller Williams Realty! He’s got candy canes & is ready to hear your Holiday wishes. 

Cops 4 Kids: More information about this program is below. Donation jars are dispersed along Main Street. Don’t forget your donation!

Festive Singing and Caroling: North Windy Ridge Intermediate School will carol through Town. Starting near Rodney’s at 6:15 and winding their way through town. They will conclude at the Community Center at 7:45. North Buncombe High School Choir will sing near the Clock directly before and after the Tree Lighting.

Horse & Carriage Rides: Tickets have sold out for this year – if you’d like to see the horses in action, they’ll be loading up at the Weaverville United Methodist Fellowship Center!

Mangum Pottery: Stop in for kids’ clay table time, old time music, refreshments, and holiday cheer! 

Weaverville Yoga: Check out the view from their beautiful studio while enjoying a cup of Chai. More programming announced soon!

In keeping with the charity of the season, the Candlelight Stroll has always partnered with the Weaverville Police Department to support Cops for Kids (C4K) during the Candlelight Stroll. C4K is a program designed to gather resources for children who might otherwise go without during the holidays.

Be on the lookout along your Stroll for donation jars labelled Cops for Kids, and please give what you can!
