This Fall Art Safari be sure to drop by Crucible Glassworks to catch Owner/Artist Mike Hatch doing exciting Glassblowing demonstrations on the hour each day, as well as to meet the fabulous and talented Jay Pfeil, a “Plein-Air Etcher/engraver”. Jay takes her etching plates deep into the woods to engrave them, directly inspired by the natural world she immerses herself in, and the results are amazing, mystical, inspiring…come see first hand as we host this engaging Artist.
Optix is excited to welcome The Hero Litter, four Labrador retriever puppies whose training will support their efforts to become service dogs for deserving Veterans in Western North Carolina. Founded in 2006, Paws & Effect is celebrating their expansion into our community. With more than 100 service dog teams successfully partnered in the upper Midwest, we are looking forward to the good that will come from their presence here.
