Weaverville Yoga

Barbara Schauer established Weaverville Yoga - Weaverville's dedicated yoga studio - in 2009 with the vision to create a beautiful space that provides the community with a balanced variety of yoga classes, inspirational events, healthy living programs and trainings to deepen one's study of yoga.

The studio has a rich history of bringing people together, housed in the Shope Building, the original location of the town post office, courtroom, town hall, grocery, and Masonic meeting rooms. Our rooms have been restored it in a way that honors the past and creates a gorgeous oasis in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Our classes range from dynamic and challenging to deeply restorative and calming, yet we encourage our students to work at their own level and practice safely with awareness. All our classes incorporate the principles of heart centered, conscious movement and breath work.

We are committed to providing a space where people feel welcome, supported and able to experience the wide reaching benefits of Yoga. We want YOU to know that even if you've never tried yoga, even if you feel a bit run down, even if you're not in the best place at the moment - we believe in YOU. Don't be put off by 'Instagram yoga' - this studio accepts you AS YOU ARE! We want you to try. We are here to see you safely and surely into a yoga practice that will change your life, help you find better life balance, improve your strength & flexibility, reduce stress, and connect with like minded people.
