***This presentation will be following a 5:30 p.m. general business meeting of the Weaverville Business Association***
Jason Gililand and Chris Tomsic will be presenting information about the Reems Creek Greenway Project. Chris is on the Board of Friends of Connect Buncombe and a Weaverville resident. Jason and his wife Julie, own a WBA business, Site Design Studio, that created the feasibility study for the greenway.
They will will talk about the history of the Reems Creek Greenway starting from the Buncombe County Greenways master plan. Jason, from Site Design Studio, will discuss the feasibility study done on the Reems Creek Greenway; what was studied, where, and why.
Currently, the County has received monies to prepare a design and engineering report for the Reems Creek Greenway as it is laid out in the feasibility study. The design and engineering study will essentially set the path of the greenway and produce construction documents for future greenway construction.
Chris and Jason will also discuss current and potential partners for the project and then openly discuss with the Association how they can help with making the project a reality.
