Welcome to Tessa's Shop Around the corner! We are your one stop shop for new and vintage style gifts in Downtown Weaverville, North Carolina.

Our family has lived in this area since the 1700's. Dean and Teresa were high school sweethearts at North Buncombe High School. Previously, Teresa was a nurse and a nursing educator at Mission Hospital. She was also an allied health sciences teacher at several local high school including North Buncombe High School. Dean has a business background in manufracturing in both North Carolina and Georgia. Dean and Teresa are the parents of two daughters and are known as "Papa Dean" and "Mimi" to their five grandchildren.

Owning is small gift shop in Weaverville has always been Teresa's dream. In the Spring of 2021, Dean and Teresa deceided to make this dream come true. They took a leap of faith and purchased "The Shop Around the Corner". After a slight remodel, Tessa's Shop Around the Corner was born.
